The Name
“Rounds” is a term used in the hospital for when the healthcare team gathers around a patient’s bedside each morning to voice concerns, acknowledge progress and collaborate on the best plan of care for that day.
It is a pivotal point in the day, a time when many minds and hearts work together to ensure each patient gets the individualized care they deserve.
I hope the name Morning Rounds bakery will be a reminder to take a moment with each new day to check in on each other and with ourselves, to celebrate even small victories, and always keep striving to ‘do good’.
The Goal
I want to build a place for you to gather, pre-dawn or anytime of day, a place to share stories and beautiful desserts, to stop, if only for a moment, to savor this time with a friend and a bite of your favorite treat.
The Progress
I've hired some great people onto our team. We've been practicing and getting our workflow down. On Sept 19th we opened the doors for our Soft Launch phase. We are currently open Wednesday through Saturday 7am-1pm. It has been nice to start slowly, build our customer base and work on increasing bakery production.

The Owner
I’m Andrea, the proud creator of Morning Rounds Bakery. I was born and raised in the Kansas City area and I adore this city and its people.
I have been a nurse for over 18 years. It is the most challenging thing I’ve ever done, but it has changed me for the better. I have the utmost respect and gratitude for everyone in the healthcare profession.
Baking has always been a source of joy and balance for me. Bringing smiles to the faces of friends, family, and co-workers is the ultimate reward.
Morning Rounds Bakery has been a dream of mine for many years and I’m so excited to finally be taking the first steps of this journey. I can’t wait to share the confections of my labor with you!
